Nemesis is a text-based multiplayer role-playing game driven by a
LPMud GameDriver (abbr. GD, the "WorldSimulator", the game engine)
written in C and a MudLib (coding of the "world")
written in LPC,
alike to many other MUDs (=Multi User Dungeons) on the Internet.
These MUDs have come up about 1990 and are the ancestors of today's graphical
MMORPGs (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Games).
But already during the early stages of Nemesis many
enhancements and features (see end of page)
Already in earliest days of Nemesis during the early 1990s no stone
was left standing. Some differences are:
a heavily modified GameDriver (GD) with lots of
additional efuns and
other extensions such as more than one port and protocol. For example, there
are an IRC bot, a Mail/SMTP
and WWW server within the game, all written in LPC,
